Builing a Music Web Community Network For Pleasure & Profit

by us2k2008 @ 2008-04-11 - 13:05:18

In 2007 I had a plan to build a music community initially for fun as I enjoyed making reviewing, remixing and commenting on music by other artists. Any exposure of this form would help me to get signed by a record label too.

I began by purchasing a music community site http://www.j-jay.co.uk for two hundred and fifty pounds, that I had visited and contributed to for many years. It was for the ejay software audience and it was already ranked in Google, within many links directories, and had a reciprical link arrangement with a reasonably large software house by the name of empire interactive. There was a chance that there were other such links with other music sites too, as the previous owner had been an intelligent social networker. The site was generally a good opening into the music production, promotion and review arena, but there was going to be needed enhancements and also there needed to be progression in the future to cover other music software, including production software for professional artists.
